 Forecast Summary
Today (Thursday): Generally cold and cloudy over northern parts of the UK with spells of rain, these falling as snow for a time over the mountains in northern Scotland. However, northern parts of Caithness and the Northern Isles will see a drier day with spells of sunshine. Further south in the UK it will be largely dry for a time with a few sunny spells, although showers will spread north from the English Channel, mainly during the afternoon.

Tonight (Thursday night): Rain and drizzle will continue across many northern parts overnight, with a little snow again possible over the Scottish mountains. Northern fringes of Scotland will, however, remain largely dry. Further south in the UK, evening showers will continue to move north, with a few clear spells to follow.
